For those not in the know, Big Slice (or B.S. for short) were a seminal band that formed out of the Pointy Bird’s ashes in the mid-nineties and had a singer/guitarist who looks and sounds a bit like me. Fast forward a few years, and now all 20 Big Slice songs are available for your listening pleasure courtesy of two new albums, One For The Road, which features eight new recordings, and a 12-track compilation of old demos, Don’t Mind if I Do. It ends a two-year project restoring these songs for posterity, which began in lockdown with my brother and I unearthing long-lost demos like lost treasure and polishing them into pop gems and precious tones. Hope you enjoy and watch out for the odd live performance at a glorious toilet venue near you.
